Mr. Scheinfeld has over 20 years’ experience investing in public and private companies and since 1999 has been a founder of investment funds that have funded or committed to fund over $1.5 billion. In addition, Mr. Scheinfeld is a serial entrepreneur and has extensive experience in starting, running and raising capital for public and private companies as well as real estate ventures. While a management consultant at McKinsey & Company, Inc., he was part of teams that solved business problems for Fortune 500 companies. Mr. Scheinfeld practiced law at the Chicago law firm of Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP where he specialized in corporate acquisition, securities and venture capital transactions. Mr. Scheinfeld received his Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from Harvard Law School. Mr. Scheinfeld graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in Economics and Distinction in all Subjects from Cornell University.
Mr. Cope has over 15 years’ experience investing in public and private companies and leads Lincoln Park’s life sciences investing. Mr. Cope also helps lead the Fund’s private equity investments with emphasis on Lincoln Park’s specialty finance investments. While working at a captive firm for Equity Group Investments (a Sam Zell investment arm), Mr. Cope focused on M&A, private equity and securities matters. Mr. Cope also practiced law at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP. Mr. Cope holds a Masters degree in Molecular Biology, a J.D. from the University of Chicago and is a Phi Beta Kappa, Summa Cum Laude graduate in Economics from Brandeis University. Mr. Cope is a co-founder of an elementary school based in Chicago, and has sat on the Board of several Chicago based non-profit organizations.
Dr. Beaubaire leverages his clinical science, healthcare management experience, and financial transaction acumen in evaluating health care and general business investment opportunities for LPC. Prior to joining Lincoln Park Capital, Dr. Beaubaire has played significant roles advising emerging life science and device companies, healthcare service organizations, and interested institutional healthcare investors through his own advisory firm and affiliating with leading investment banks and strategic management consulting firms. Dr. Beaubaire earned his BS with Honors in Finance from the Wharton School, and his BA with Honors in Biological Basis of Behavior from the College of Arts & Sciences, both at the University of Pennsylvania. He received his Medical Doctorate degree from Northwestern University Medical School, and trained as an Internal Medicine resident at Evanston Northwestern Healthcare where he served as an educator to medical interns and students under his tutelage.
Mr. Vogel since 1995 has worked with investment firms, managers and groups including extensive involvement in direct investments in the public equity markets as well secondary market investments. Mr. Vogel is an integral part of the Executive Management team of a Lincoln Park Capital portfolio company, Omnisure Group, LLC, a leading specialty finance company. As an investor, CFO, financial professional and Financial Operations Principal, Mr. Vogel has counseled for over 19 years various financial firms and members of the various regulatory bodies on the structuring of their operations and capital. He also has extensive experience with companies in various stages of their life cycle including startups and businesses in an active mode of expansion. Mr. Vogel is a CPA and FINRA Series 27 certified holding a BA with honors from Graham School of Management at Saint Xavier University. Mr. Vogel actively supports and serves several non-profit organizations based in West Michigan.
Mr. Garcia brings a broad based knowledge of the private equity sector and public markets. Mr. Garcia serves as the Controller of a Lincoln Park Capital portfolio company, Omnisure Group, LLC, a leading specialty finance company. As an investment professional since 1998, Mr. Garcia has been involved in the operational side of private equity and portfolio management in the securities industry. His main operational responsibilities have included investment due diligence, managing back office operations and managing portfolio company relationships. Prior to joining Lincoln Park Capital, Mr. Garcia while working alongside other Lincoln Park principals handled all aspects of the back office operations of an investment fund that funded or committed to fund over $750 million in public company financings. Mr. Garcia has worked for a boutique public accounting firm with extensive experience in the broker dealer and financial industries. Mr. Garcia earned a BS in Accounting from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. Mr. Garcia stays involved in his community and volunteers his time coaching youth sports.
Mr. Kerewich joined Lincoln Park Capital in July of 2011 and contributes a unique background and understanding of the capital markets for public companies. Since joining Lincoln Park Mr. Kerewich has been an integral part in the identification, analysis and structuring of over 50 public company investments. Prior to his tenure, Mr. Kerewich managed a research tool that is widely used by professionals that are active in the public markets called PrivateRaise, a service of The Deal. Responsibilities included the analysis of private offerings (e.g. Registered Directs, CMPOs, PIPEs, Equity Lines of Credit, ATMs, Convertible and non-Convertible instruments), client services, consulting projects for Investment Banks, Investment Funds and Law Firms as well as the business development of the database. Previous experience also includes working as a consultant to companies assisting in capital raises, as a sales professional in the telecommunications industry and he was a professional athlete. Mr. Kerewich earned a BA in Communications from The Ohio State University while being an active member in the Sigma Chi Fraternity and Captain of the Division I Men’s Volleyball program.
Mr. Salchli joined LPC in 2014 as CTO and brings a diversity of experience in business, technology and the life sciences. Mr. Salchli evaluates technology investment opportunities and advises LPC private portfolio companies and emerging startups. Prior to joining LPC, Mr. Salchli was a co-founder of a successful technology and marketing firm that incubated and consulted for both public and private organizations across many verticals, leading software development and infrastructure teams. Previous experience includes technology consulting for health insurance claims management, health care risk services, recruitment process outsourcing and electronic document/database publishing.
Mr. Salchli earned a M.S. in IT in a joint program of Northwestern University's McCormick School of Engineering and Applied Science, the Kellogg School of Management and the School of Law. He won a Research Fellowship and earned a M.S. in Neurobiology and Physiology from Northwestern University and a B.A. in Biology from Skidmore College. He is an active member of Northwestern University's MSIT Alumni Advisory Board and lectures on cloud computing in the program.
